The real story is that this is a woman-owned business with a focus on taking care of the community. Jennifer’s roots go back to growing up in Wilmington, NC (and Wrightsville Beach) where she lived through her fair share of hurricanes. Hurricane Fran ravaged NC when her family lived on the intracoastal waterway. Her family had to retrieve their staircase out of a tree and reattach it so they could get back inside to survey the damage.
Fast forward to today, having just lived through a huge flood in an office building (complete with water pouring out of the doors), Jennifer sees how important a good partner can be in the mitigation and recovery after a disaster. Unfortunately, that’s hard to find.
Fixed-NC was born out of an opportunity to partner with Mike Mullis to offer the unique combination of skill and heart to the property care and repair business.
Jennifer and her husband, Alan, have two kids, ages 18 and 15. After spending the first part of her career in operations management at Wachovia, and then Marketing at IBM and Vignette, she is thrilled to be able to do her heart’s calling…helping others.
Mike, better known as Mully, is the heart and soul of our Operations. His passion, drive and desire to create a new kind of property repair and restoration company based on compassion and restoring hope and faith for communities, business owners, and families is what brought us together. His vision and commitment to company culture drives and motivates our employees, and he is personally invested in every job we do. By the time the job is completed, our customers often think of him, and our company, as family.
Mully’s experience in the restoration industry is extraordinary. He has led restorative efforts in countless residential and commercial properties throughout the state, including several caused as a result of natural disasters. Prior to coming to our Company, he was the Business Development Director and General Manager for two companies in the restoration industry, and served as the General Manager of the largest privately held restoration company.
Mully has direct and personal insight into other areas that often interact with the restoration industry as well as a strong commitment to community. He worked as a property and casualty insurance agent and Agency Manager receiving multiple honors, served as a police officer and professional fire fighter, and mentored young adults as a collegiate baseball coach. Mully is well-known and respected in Greenville and surrounding areas . The community often refers to him for his experience, expertise and knowledge in many aspects of restoration, far beyond basic property repair.
Mully and his wife, Susanne, have two boys ages 16 and 11. He enjoys golf, long walks on the beach, sunsets, and family time.
As Director of Field Production, James Stratford has the enormous responsibility of implementing and fulfilling the vision set by Jennifer and Mully – and we are so happy to have him.
James is the renaissance man of the property restoration industry with over 20 years of experience. He started as a water technician and has restored commercial and residential properties inflicted with damage resulting from mold, sewage, water, hurricanes, tornados, ice/ snow, fire/smoke, vehicle collisions, falling trees/branches and personal trauma. He has been both an owner and a manager of various industry-related companies. James is an IICRC Certified water damage restoration professional and estimating guru. Being well-versed in Xactimate, the leading estimation software used and relied on by virtually all insurance companies, his estimates are the gold standard (if there were such a thing). James has also been known to roll up his sleeves and rely on his carpentry and woodworking skills – and Eagle Scout training – to help get a job to completion. While James is a talented musician, we are still waiting to see how he can apply his guitar playing skills to property restoration and customer satisfaction.
Originally from Greensboro, James received his BSBA in marketing from Appalachian State and spent most of his career in Charlotte. He is thrilled to be in Greenville helping to restore hope and faith to the local community.
Jesse Baker is our General Manager. Baker (aka “JB”) oversees all administration & systems aspects for the company and is truly the heart of the operation. JB has been with us since day one, and his three favorite words (well, our three favorite words of his) are “I’ve got it!” And that, he does.
Including working in property damage and restoration, JB’s previous experience gave him a background in Construction Staffing and as an agent with NC Farm Bureau Insurance, which are just a few reasons why he’s been so invaluable in the restoration/property repair industry. Prior to that, he spent 27 years in Consumer Finance after attending East Carolina University for 3 years (go Pirates). He was also a former Secretary and President for Resident Lenders of NC.
A lifetime native of Greenville, NC, his passion is helping others, and he has volunteered for Pitt County Special Olympics and held a position as fund-raising chairman. He enjoys his spare time with his wife, Wendy and 4 pets and occasionally golfing, hunting and fishing.
